All four elementary schools in the Great Neck Public Schools are among 36 Long Island schools that made Niche.com’s list of the state’s top 100 elementary schools in 2018.

Here are the Niche.com rankings for Great Neck elementary schools:

  • Lakeville Elementary School— No. 4
  • E.M. Baker School— No. 5
  • Saddle Rock School— 19
  • John F. Kennedy School— No. 44

All four elementary schools made the list in 2017 and 2015. Three schools made the list in 2016.

Eight schools in New York’s top 10 are all from Nassau County. Just four schools in Suffolk County made the list. 

Robert Seaman Elementary School in the Jericho UFSD was ranked No. 7 in the nation and No. 1 in New York. In fact, the top 3 elementary schools in New York all belong in the same school district. The top Suffolk County school on the list was Amagansett School in the Amagansett UFSD at No. 47.

The nation’s top elementary school was found to be Pine View School in Sarasota, Florida.

Fewer Long Island schools made the state rankings in 2018. Fifty elementary schools from Long Island made the rankings in 2017.
